I’m an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Economics at Texas Tech University. My research interests are crime economics, causal inference, data science, public policy evaluation, economic development, sports economics, and wine economics.
 

As an applied economist, I’m interested in socially relevant questions and the kind of data that tells powerful stories. My work combines economic theory with empirical tools  -from econometrics to machine learning- to uncover insights that matter for real-world debates.
